Dior × Giza
A runway at the foot of the Great Pyramid.

Overview
In December 2022, Dior celebrated 75 years with a men’s show in the Giza desert, with the Great Pyramid as the backdrop. Pingmuse photographer Mohamed Alaa was on site to capture the runway, the details and the night.
The challenge
Shooting a night runway in the desert means wind, sand, moving models and 4,500 years of limestone lit by stage lights. Every frame has to be right the first time.
The idea
Three ways of seeing: wide frames where the runway shrinks under the pyramid, tight frames on texture (every stitch, fold and leather grain of the Fall collection), and candid portraits of guests including Robert Pattinson, Sehun and Lila Moss.
Fashion moves fast. The pyramids do not. The best frames put both in the same picture.
Colour
A palette with a purpose.
Typography
Bodoni Moda: the high-contrast serif of fashion magazines, for a page that reads like an editorial.
Voice
4,500 years. 45 looks. One night.
Amazing fashion event!!!
