Overview
Translucid provides over-the-phone, video and on-site interpretation in 200+ languages. They were great at making people understand each other and not so great at explaining themselves online.
The challenge
Interpretation is a trust purchase. Clients are hospitals, courts and businesses with deadlines. The old site felt like a template, and nobody trusts a template with a court hearing.
The idea
A clean, airy layout with lots of white space, a confident indigo and playful 3D objects that react as you scroll: floating letters from different scripts, a globe, a cloud a person sits on while chatting. Serious service, light touch.
Good interpreters disappear. You only notice the conversation. The website had to feel the same: no friction, just clarity.
